Gabrielle Shain, owner of Shain Gallery, welcomes the symphony's new music director, Christopher Warren-Green, at a reception in his honor at the gallery. Warren-Green, the music director of London Chamber Orchestra, will succeed Christof Perick in September 2010. Warren-Green plans to move his family to Charlotte by January. Shain Gallery owner Gabrielle Shain (from left), artist Kim Schuessler and Schuessler's daughter, Swann, were part of a special event at
Neiman Marcus at SouthPark mall that featured Schuessler's new paintings. Schuessler, whose celebrity fans include Jimmie and Chandra Johnson, is represented in Charlotte by Shain Gallery (www.shaingallery.com). During the evening, guests made donations to Art With Heart, the annual art auction fundraiser for United Family Services that's scheduled for Feb. 6 at Founders Hall.
