Originally from Nashville, Tennessee oil painter Roger Brown traveled and studied across the country. These experiences in addition to history, the natural world and architecture inspire his acclaimed oil paintings. Brown paints en plein air and has painted scenes across the country including still lifes and cityscapes.
Brown’s artistic goal is to capture the essence of location, to make a viewer feel the color of the trees and the sun on a field. Brown’s work is displayed in galleries across the country including the Oil Painters of America National Juried Exhibition, the Tennessee Art League, The Central South Juried Show and the Hendersonville Artist Guild.
